The inspiration for the image of the Botamero can be found in the visual aesthetics of Mexico in the 40's, dictated by the influence of Art Deco and the golden age of Mexican cinema. We also seek to capture modern values of Mexicans who have crossed borders thanks to their talent and passion.
We rescue the representative forms of the time: patterns, forms and textures, adapting them to a modern and fresh discourse that gives us elegance and closeness.
The logo represents the movie marquees from the 40´s, as well as the use of neon lights, a resource popularized in those years to illuminate advertisements and establishments.
The logo uses as a base the Phosphor typography designed in 1930. Inspired by the luminous letters on the marquees of cinemas and theaters, it shows geometric shapes that evoke art deco. The parallel shadow gives us the creative touch that was reflected in the Mexican signs.
